Grant Fisher Becomes 7th High Schooler to Go Sub 4 in the Mile

Grant Fisher had a good Thursday.  He went out and ran a 3min 59.38 second mile.  He is now tied for the third fastest High School mile time.  He is one of seven High Schoolers to go sub 4 minutes.  Think about that for a second.  That means three people have finished in the 60 millisecond gap between 3:59.39 and 3:59.99.  You can read more about Grant and his accomplishment at Competitor.com

These guys are testing the limits of the human body.  Pushing limits.  That’s what endurance sports are all about.  You go as far as you possibly can and then try and go a little more.  It’s addicting, it’s frustrating, and it’s enriching.  I love everything about it.  I’ve become a true endurance junkie.

I’ll be getting up tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 6am to get in a 15 mile run.  I hope to cya at the finish line 🙂
