I just finished the registration process for the Standard Chartered Bangkok and the Mt Fuji marathons! These will be marathons (and countries) #4 and #5 for me. I plan on spending four days in Bangkok before moving onto Japan. This will be my first marathon in Japan and I’m looking forward to spending time in Osaka, Mt Fuji and Tokyo.
This trip will be the shortest rest period I’ve had between marathons. The Bangkok Marathon is on November 15th and the Mt Fuji Marathon is on November 29th. To test my legs, I went out this weekend and did a 20 mile run 13 days after running the Angkor Empire Marathon in Cambodia. My legs felt great so I’m confident I can complete the additional 6+ miles required in November.
I spent three weeks in SE Asia this August and was fortunate to fly Cathay Pacific Business Class on the outbound and Cathay Pacific First Class coming home. On this trip, I will be flying business class with my friends at Japan Airlines! I’ve never flown a JAL flight before but I am looking forward to flying on a 787-Dreamliner.
I’m pumped to go back to Thailand and can’t wait to see Mt Fuji in the fall.
Marathons to Date:

Also hoping to snag up a three day weekend Caribbean marathon in late September. That might be asking too much though. I’m working Saturdays from now until November 7th to clear my schedule for Asia round two!
