Urbanite Quality of Life

I recently stumbled upon the latest copy of the Mercer Quality of Living Standards report. Mercer uses surveys to determine how “livable” cities are for expats. Security concerns, oppression, and product availability all have a part to play. Mercer ranks cities to determine appropriate salaries for relocated employees. Baghdad received the lowest score and San Francisco was the highest ranked city at #28.

1. Vienna (Austria)

2. Zurich (Switzerland)

3. Auckland (New Zealand)

4. Munich (Germany)

5. Vancouver (Canada)

6. Dusseldorf (Germany)

7. Frankfurt (Germany)

8. Geneva (Switzerland)

9. Copenhagen (Denmark)

10. Sydney (Australia)

I have no burning desire to go to Dusseldorf or Frankfurt, but I’d be happy to visit the other eight cities.
